Hello! I have been working very hard on reclaiming my living room. I am not sure if I mentioned but I have been partaking being part of the sandwich generation. As a result I have been cleaning out a relatives house and dealing with possessions. It's been a long 5 months. My updates here have slowed but I hope that will change soon.

Today I need to step to paradise. And so I offer you thx following card:

This is made with Heartfelt stamps and papers. I love the bright colors!

Of course you can see I added glitter on the card. What's a card without glitter? Huh?

My bird of paradise! Please come home soon!
Wishing everyone out the happiness. See you again soon.

Lovely as a tree!

Stampin up's Lovely as a Tree is a timeless stamp set and perfect for my latest project. This is sure to be part of my next class.

I used the technique called Northern Lights. The colors of ink I used were: strawberry slush, tempting turquoise, daffodil yellow, tangerine twist and a bit of pomegranate.
For the sky I used Night for f Navy, and old olive  for the ground.

Using Lovely as a tree, I stamped once full strength then stamped again stamping off on scrap paper first.

I had so much fun I did additional variations and as you can see, no two are the same!

For this one, I skipped the green grass to give it more of a winter feel. I added some " snowball ribbon" to enhance the winter effect.

And finally, well, I just went nuts!

I added layers of ripped paper for snow, glitter of course, and die cuts to create a full on winter scene! The die cuts are from impression obsession.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sly Gray fox

But cute as a button!

This fox was created using, what else!; but the fox builder punch! The snowflakes are from the Seasonsl layers thinlets set , and the paper is from the Color theory paper pack.

The Seasonal thinlets set is very versatile and likely to become one of my favs!

Have a look:

Have s great Monday!

Have you seen a pumpkin spice ad?

I have! For cheerios! I hope I can find some.
This means that fall is coming. (Insert pouty face!) The pouty face is just because that means another summer has come and gone. But truthfully fall is my favorite season.

I bought a Halloween mystery box from Kraftin Kimmie and this stamp was included. I think she is gorgeous and there are a lot of posting of different cards using this stamp happening right now!

I did this one with pencil crayons and glitter. You always have to add glitter! Otherwise why craft?  This is a bit closer shot:

I have to show you left and right so you can see the effects.

Now, back to the current season! Enjoy!

Birthday Memories

If today is your day, Happy Birthday!

I'm just playing with the paper pack from Stampin Up called, what else? Birthday memories!

I made a fold out card and used a sheet that showed a birthday parade. I cut it carefully so that the characters I wanted were placed where I wanted them!

As you can see, I cut out some characters too and layered them up for better support.

This is the inside. Lots of room left for personal birthday greetings.

These characters were also cut out. On a plain background they add more fun!

So, if it's your day, I'm sending you a parade!
Have a great day!

The Easter Bunny was here! Months ago!

Oh my! A post sitting in draft! Oops!

I was  getting into the spirit of spring freshness with flowers and Easter bunnies I created some Easter cards. These were offered in a past class.

I featured the box card, the z card and the z-box card! Below is the z-box card!

I used the Chicks stamp set from the sale-a-bration catalogue, along with  embossing folder, and the.  Stamp set for the daffodils.

As you can see, the card is your regular z card, but with some added partitions to decorate and give it the box card feel! Imagine the possibilities!

As I catch up the on some posts, I hope you enjoy this one today! It's never too late to replenish your stash for the next holiday!

Have a great day!

All winter it has been exceptionally reasonable with minimal snow. Here we are in March, and kaboom! Snow on the ground and promises of a major storm next week!! What?!?

So to keep'cha! Bet you are looking at the card and thinking of something I might say! Ha! I was thinking that my craft room is my happy place and the best place to stay warm!!

My dear friend has a birthday coming up and so for all the good times we have had, I made her this card. After all, she is now retired with all kinds of time to keep that girlish figure! Here you go!

Hee! Hee! I had a chance to pull out my inka gold for the frame. It was lots of fun as I have not used them in a while.

The stamp set is from simon says stamp-one of their own!
Here's a close look:

Of course there had to be something inside:

Aren't they fun? Have a great day and I hope you have a special place to stay warm too!

Oh! chihuahua!

By now you must be wondering whether I am an animal lover? Of course! That's why today I get to share another High Hopes stamp! The birthday Chihuahua - "Chi Chi's Party", is available at One Crazy Stamper and High Hopes Stamps!

To color this I used Tim Holtz Distress crayons. I am just learning all the fabulous ways to use this  product. This was my first attempt. I colored this card using watercolor paper. The crayons offered an interesting effect. I have since learned there are so many more options on how to use this product you will be sure to see more!

Of course I had to add some interest to the inside:

The supplies I used were:
Paper: Basic grey and white and pink card stock
Stamp:High Hopes Chi Chi's Party stamp and greeting

Don't have a cow! Celebrate a birthday!

Will you be needing a card for an upcoming birthday? Celebrate with Charlie, the party cow! There's balloons and bling, oh, my!

Both the cow and balloons are 3 layers with pop dots in between. If I were to redo this card again, I would pop just the cows head one more time. I put glossy accents on the balloons to help them stand out and I used a label punch to cut out a piece to emboss a birthday greeting.

This is my second card for One Crazy Stamper, using their High Hopes Stamps line.

Supply list:
Stamps: High Hopes Charlie Party Cow and greeting

Pug Love!

If you follow me at all, by now you know I have been blessed with a pug! His name is Bandit. He has added a lot of joy since the passing of our last love, Hudson.

Bandit loves to sit on my shoulder while I am watching TV. Crazy but true! He also has some allergies, but we are not sure to what. Because of the allergies, last November he lost some of the black color to the tip of his nose. You can see this in the card below! I figured why not color this little guy just like my own!

You can also see this published at One Crazy Stamper, where this month I have the pleasure of being their guest blogger! Thank you OCS!

The supplies I used for this card are:
Stamp: Bandits Cake
Paper: American crafts, Confetti; Neena white card stock;
Card stock: yellow, mint green, brown and pink

Ink: memento black; metallic edger-yellow

Copies: T1-T6, Rv14, R 20, BG11, BG34,BG32, Y15, Y19, YR23, YR65, E42, E43, E25,E29, E44 and "0" for those little mistakes!

Stamp: High Hopes Birthday Pug and greeting

Punch: 1 3/4 and 2" Circle punches

Embellishments: black embossing powder, diamond stickles, pop dots, doodle bug eerie eyes, glossy accents, Sookwang tape and glue dots and a wobbler!

Have a look at how I cut the head so it can tilt side to side just like when he looks at me with questioning eyes!

You want the truth?

Are you wondering why have I not been updating this blog? Every time I try to do it from my iPhone, the app kicks me out! Did Apple and Blogger have a fight? It is very frustrating!

So, here I am at my computer. I rarely sit here these days. Its cumbersome and limiting. All my card pictures are taken on my phone and so I have to upload them here. Also, the amount of time it takes to upload from a computer to the blog, versus using the iPhone is substantially different. But enough. My apologies and reasons. I hope that you still enjoy my work and continue to drop by.

In November, I was a guest blogger with "Inspired by all the little things" ( Thanks to Karen Day for the invitation.

I was provided with this picture as my inspiration:

And this was my result:

I like the non-traditional colours for a Christmas card. Do you? I know that season has passed and it's on to Birthdays, Anniversaries, Thank you and more!

Happy 2017 Everyone!
