It's a holly jolly Christmas!!

Are you ready? I am not! So many cards still to make! Here is one from a recent class. I find that this is a little less frilly and looks like the wreath is hanging on a brick wall.

I used the Tim Holtz embossing folder, the Stampin up new wreath set and Noel.

The paper is Carmel, with espresso, basi grey and cherry cobbler ink to rough it up. I added a bow from the sparkling gold to glitz it up just a bit.

The front panel sits on basic grey, on a white card base.

I will post more as I get them done! Hopefully this will help you get your cards done too!

Snow is on the way !

Usually by now my Christmas tree is up in the halls are decked! Wow! What happened? I am falling behind! Hopefully the fluffy white flakes will motivate me, and I'll be caught up soon!

I have a card to share. This is in anticipation of the weather we can expect ahead!

I used die cuts from X cut for the city scape. I love the scene, and you can pretty much modify this for any season.

I added a stamp from Stampin Bella. Can you see the dog?

The copic colours I used were:

And if course my papers were from Stampin up- basic black, basic gray, smokey slate and night of navy.

The Joy die is also from Stampin Up. Finally,  I gave the whole thing a spritz of shimmer.

Enjoy getting ready for the holidays!

Gearing up for winter!

This card cut out is from Stampin Up. I loved the snowflake cut out! I used pattern paper and where the snowflake flips, I inked the back and added my image- a Magnolia Mini!

The trees are from Magnolia too. I cut them from glitter paper.

Here is mini Tilda hugging a snowman. I used copics to colour her in.

Here is the opposite side, where I added a verse.

Twelve weeks to Christmas

12weeks to Christmas ! It's amazing how quickly time passes and just when you think you have all kinds of time to do Christmas crafts, we're already in a count down!

Ok ! Stop booing and get crafting! ( a little Halloween humour thrown in!)

Today I have for you a Tilda stamp- she's off to chop down her tree. Girl power!

This combination is from one of the magnolia swap kits - thanks ladies!

Here's a close up. You can see I added some falling snow.

Here are the colours I used:

Say goodbye to summer!

Fall is upon us! But before we say a final goodbye to summer I want to share a card I made for the august magnolia mingle

What I did here was to try and make the glass look real by glazing that part of the image

And I stamped on pattern paper and cut out the top of the ice cream cart.

Then I added Tilda with ice cream. Boy, that looks yummy! Flowers, butterfly and some glitter and we're done!

Christmas is coming!

First I feel the need to apologize for not posting for a while! Health and family takes precedence over crafting ( hard to believe !!) and so my crafting has been a bit aside. I do hope to play a bit of catch up and post twice a week for a bit.

I recently participated in a Stampin up swap and here was my submission. I did three cards with the same theme as I did not have enough coordinating paper. I loved them all!

To me it looks like the snowman is surprised to see Santa's sleigh! This is the blue version; then

The Bermuda Bay version, and finally the pale blue version:

The images are from two stamp sets- white Christmas and holiday home. I just did a bit of colouring with a water brush and sponge, then finished off with glitter of course! This design just may show up in a future class!

Hope you like it!

A little saturated canary!

Hello! Almost back to school time- more importantly back to routine time!

Summer is trying to hold on- I think this past week has been the best of the season! But I am looking forward to the Indian summer predicted in October.

Today I have a saturated canary stamp for you. It's a little bit Easter, a little bit fun! I just had to have it!

She is sweet and devious all at the same time!

Here's a closer look:

Forgot to grab a shot of the colours I used! Enjoy the card.

Super Hero's unite!

Everyone has a hero- a friend, teacher, parent- someone who can offer guidance and strength.

Today, I offer a card- tongue in cheek of course- I made for my hero. I used a  Stamping Bella stamp:

I guess my hero travels by hot air balloon ( ha ha ha!) but more importantly, he gets where he is going!

Here's a closer look:

I addd some glossy accents for his emblem. And the inside:

Have a great day'

Feel like going on a picnic?

Hello Maggie fans!

The card I have for you today is from the recent Pink Lemonade collection. I love this image! So pic-nic-y!

I added the fruit images, also from the same collection, and the OXOX is from an American crafts die set that includes a camera die.

I added glossy accents to the dew drops on the fruit to give them some dimension.
Here's a close up of the image:

And one more of the inside:

That leftover strip that you cut from a 6x6 is useful to decorate the inside and give the back cover of the card some strength. Add some cherries and ta-da!

It's not easy being green!

Maggie fans! I have Tilda with a rose all coloured in!

When I stamped this, there was a gentle over stamp where her nose would be. Magnolias do not have noses or mouths and originally the designs all had wings. This is because Tilda was an angel, and angels speak with their hearts!

Normally I would re-stamp but I thought she looked kinda cute with a little nose. I coloured her in just like that and voila!

Here is a closer look:

Tell me what you think! See you next post!

Stampin up swap - last submission

Swap Six! Yay! This time I used gold ink and a stencil on patterned paper. I enhanced the stenciled pattern by punching out some additional stars from gold paper and stamp a greeting from the Age Awareness set. Have a look

From another angle:

Oh, almost forgot to mention the metallic twine, in gold.

Swap five! You Rock!

Hello! Just thinking of my next project as I enjoy an escape for vacation!
This is swap five! I love this one. It is done with very vanilla paper and gold embossing powder plus the beautiful vellum paper with gold stripes.

The frame on the top is raised giving it more dimension. Here's a closer look:

The wood element- that I also embossed- fits nicely in the frame.

Stampin Up 2014-2015 Catalogue Swap number four

As I mentioned, I am participating in a Demonstrator swap for the new catalog. I have entered into six categories. I don't know quite what went wrong with my posts as they are showing all on the same date even though I posted them separately. Interesting!

However, here is swap number four! I used the well worded set for the cake, and then the Yippee Skippee set for the inside verse. Everyone being so diet conscious these days, cake doesn't get the glory it used to.

Stampin up swap 3!

Here we are already halfway through my swap posts! I can't wait to see the great cads I will be getting back! Before that happens there is still much to do including mailing them to their destination!

I love this masculine card! You da man!
I used the banner and mustache  thinlits and "well worded" stamp set. This card also features the in- colours Lost Lagoon and Baked brown sugar card stock.

I stamped directly on the wood embellishment, and added glossy accents to the mustache to give it more dimension.

More to come soon! Thanks again for stopping by.

Next in the swap production!

Welcome back to the next swap that I will be sending off to Manitoba.

This one features the kool koala! I coloured him with our new Stampin Up blendabilities. These are alcohol markers sold in groups of three of the same colour ( a light, medium and dark marker). There is also a skin tone package.

The centre piece is popped and I used a punch and the glitter paper to add the accent to the ribbon.

I Can't wait to show you the next one!
Thanks for stopping by!

The swap production line begins!

It's that time again! Every summer I participate in a fabulous swap hosted by Wanda, out of Manitoba.

This year, I only signed up for 6 six catagories, so my next six posts will feature my contributions to the swap.

To kick it off :

This card features " girls night out" and "oh Snap" .

A closer view:

And the inside:

And I had to make 10 for this catagory! They look fab!

Get your stamps out and stamp!

Tilda and her Dino!

Pretty in pink! That's how I feel about this card! This is made with a magnolia stamp and papers, and stampin up solid papers.

Although the butterfly is a brighter pink, it's not reddish as it appears here.

I enjoyed making this card and it's currently off to my swap partner in Ohio.
Here is a closer look:

Enjoy the great weather and hopefully my card!

Summer is here! The flowers are blooming!

It was a pleasure to welcome summer this weekend. I enjoyed most of today floating in the pool! It's not usually this warm so early do I am looking forward to lots of swim time!

Another way to welcome summer was this card - with lots of flowers!

The watering can is made of silver "mother of pearl" type paper. You will notice that it changes colour in different shots. I just had fun with the colours. Hope you like it.

Thanks for stopping by.

New catalogue just around the corner!

I am so excited for the launch of the new Stampin Up catalogue June 2nd!

I went to the "premiere" at Square One and saw the products snd techniques in action!

Here is the first card I have made with their new blendabilities ! The stamp set used is a hostess set called I like you!

The blendabilities are alcohol ink markers like copic but work fabulously on whisper white. They are sold in sets of three with a light medium and dark of the colour selected.

A close up?

No streaking!!! So much fun.

Another visit from Tilda- Tea anyone?

Where does the time go? April has passed me by, and May is quickly following!

April is a super craft month with the Creativefest and Scrapfest both happening within two weeks of each other. Hot on their heels is National Scrapbooking day and Mother's Day; it's no wonder we are almost done May.

I also attended the Premiere of the new Stampin up catalogue, but more on that in June!

Here is my May mingle, headed off to the US for Lillian A! Spoiler alert!

It's hard to see from the picture, but the teacup is glossy accented, there is glitter on Tildas hat, the bird, the swirl and roses.

A closer look at Tilda

And if you look closely, the window has ribbon for the curtain and acetate for glass.

I had a lft over piece of patterned paper that got slipped into the inside.

And voila! All done. I hope you enjoyed the card .
